The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) will determine the causes of the crash of a private Yak-18T aircraft that crashed in the Moscow region. This was announced on June 28 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.
"The Interstate Aviation Committee, with the participation of the Central Interregional Territorial Administration (CTA) of the Federal Air Transport Agency, will investigate the disaster," the agency's Telegram channel says.
The procedure will be conducted in accordance with the approved Rules for the Investigation of Accidents and Incidents involving Civil aircraft in the Russian Federation. As a result of the investigation, measures should be taken to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
The plane crashed on the afternoon of June 28 near the village of Panovo. Four people were killed in the crash. A fire broke out after the incident, and the fire has been eliminated at the moment. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
Andrey Volkov, the owner of the crashed Yak-18T aircraft, told Izvestia that the training of pilots for flight is being taken seriously at the airfield where the emergency occurred. He clarified that he was familiar with the victims, but they did not warn that they were going to go on a flight.
