Molodo-veleno: in Russia, they will rely on creating conditions for young people

Russia is developing dynamically, building and implementing plans for decades ahead thanks to the younger generation. This was stated by Vladimir Putin on Youth Day, June 28 at the opening ceremony of leisure centers in six Russian regions. In particular, it is thanks to young people that volunteerism is developing so actively today. Volunteers help residents of Donbass and Novorossiya, Kursk and Belgorod regions, risking their lives to go on humanitarian missions to their locations. The authorities will pay great attention to working with young people and create conditions for their development.: They should make sure in practice that Russia is a country of unlimited possibilities. The President also spoke about his time working in the student group and considered the current salaries of their participants insufficient.
Which youth facilities have opened in Russia
On June 28, Youth Day was celebrated in Russia: it is held throughout the country on the last Saturday of June. Both graduation parties and events dedicated to the holiday are held on this day. The main venues of the celebration this year were the youth capitals of Russia in 2025 — Omsk and Perm.
Traditionally, Vladimir Putin also congratulated the children who had just left the school. In a video message, he wished the graduates to find their vocation, believe in themselves, and set ambitious goals for themselves. In the middle of the day, the head of state had a video conversation with the children during the opening ceremony of the youth centers.
— This holiday is filled with the energy of youth, the spirit of hope, creativity, new opportunities, and is aimed at the future. It is remarkable that it is widely celebrated in our country. I see this as a reflection of the huge, significant role that you and your peers play in the life of Russia. Together with you, and with your active participation, the country is dynamically developing, building and implementing plans for decades to come," the president said.
On this day, youth centers were opened in six regions: the youth cultural and leisure center in the Khabarovsk Territory, the Sova art residence in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the headquarters of youth labor groups in the Arkhangelsk Region, a multifunctional youth center in the Dagestan village of Hunchi in the Republic of Dagestan, and the New Perspectives youth center in Karachay.Circassia. The creative village of Shchastytsevo, the residence of the Tavrida art cluster, has opened in the Kherson region.
— I am sure that these centers will become points of attraction for many young people — schoolchildren, teenagers and students, will help them find friends and new knowledge, meet the support of like—minded people and mentors, and therefore take a step towards their dreams. We pay and will continue to pay special attention to creating conditions in which everyone can maximize their potential. It depends on this what the country will be like in the middle and in the second half of the 21st century," the head of state said.
Since the beginning of the year, a new national project "Youth and Children" has been launched in Russia: more than 150 such modern spaces have already been opened throughout the country, both in rural areas and in small towns. And by 2030, within the framework of the national project, there will be over five hundred such training and development centers, the president promised.
What Putin remembered about his student days
At the opening of each cluster, local youth joined in to communicate with the president. At the same time, there were also citizens of other states. For example, a resident of the Tavrida art cluster from Abkhazia said that she participated in the Routes of Abkhazia art school project, which was attended by 90 representatives of the republic. The President believes that such active contacts between the youth of Russia and Abkhazia are important for both countries, and they should be expanded and conditions created for this.
Vladimir Putin also talked with members of youth labor groups in the Arkhangelsk region. He recalled how he himself was in the student detachment during the Soviet years, and was pleased for the development of this movement today.
— As a former ordinary soldier of the student detachment, I am very glad that the movement is alive, developing and expanding its activities through the most important areas that are the most important and relevant for our country today. And I wish you guys every success. It is very good that you have your own center," the head of state said.
Earlier, during "Conversations about important things," Vladimir Putin shared with schoolchildren that, while working in a student detachment, he repaired houses and laid power lines in the taiga. Then he qualified as a fourth-class carpenter. Separately, the president asked about the level of salaries in student groups. A girl from among the participants replied that on average you can earn 60-70 thousand rubles a month. She called this earnings decent for students, but the president did not agree with her.
"It's not enough, I'll tell you honestly,— the head of state objected.
He invited young people to speak out about what else is missing in youth cultural and leisure centers. The guys replied that they have enough opportunities to realize themselves. One of the participants of the ceremony, 15—year-old Elizabeth, shared her dream. She said that she is already trying herself as a presenter and dreams of someday holding an event at the National Center "Russia".
— I think it's all feasible. That's what needs to be done, and we need to strive for it. I made a note for myself, too," the president said.
Today, Russia has everything so that young people can develop and realize their ideas.: These include grant support, educational and career guidance programs, and platforms for launching and scaling their own projects, according to educational organizations.
— We see this in the example of "Knowledge". Since the reboot of the organization, the interest of young people in our projects and events has been growing, many want to become part of our lecture community, share knowledge, experience, and values with the audience. We are always with young people — we guide, inspire, support, help them reach their potential and believe in themselves," Maxim Dreval, CEO of the Russian Society Znanie, told Izvestia.
Youth as a driver of the volunteer movement
Today, young people have become the main driving force behind many volunteer initiatives, Vladimir Putin noted. More and more young people are joining this movement every year. For example, We are Together volunteers help residents of Donbass and Novorossiya, Kursk and Belgorod regions. They, sometimes risking their lives, go on humanitarian missions to their locations and participate in the aftermath of emergencies. The authorities will provide all possible support for the development of the movement, the head of state promised.
The volunteer movement in Russia is experiencing a real upsurge today: if earlier volunteerism was mainly associated with student actions, assistance in sports events or one-time aid actions, now it is a powerful infrastructure with thousands of projects across the country, Olga Zanko, chairman of the central headquarters of the All-Russian public movement Volunteers of Victory, State Duma deputy, explained to Izvestia..
— It is especially important that this movement has become systemic and long-term. Young people volunteer consciously. This includes the desire to help, to be useful, and the path to personal growth, the formation of leadership skills, and the formation of one's professional trajectory. We see how volunteerism is becoming a part of culture — in schools, colleges, and universities. The President quite rightly noted today that it is youth that is the driving force behind all good changes. And it really is," she stressed.
Separately, the head of state congratulated the young guys who are doing their duty in the special operation zone on the holiday: despite their young age, they are already considered veterans and become mentors for the younger generation themselves. Vladimir Putin once again stressed the need to include them in work with young people. Some young participants in the personnel program for soldiers of the free military district "Time of Heroes", having gained unique experience on the front line, are already heading public organizations for children and adolescents.
— With your tireless energy, initiatives, and willingness to get involved in solving the most difficult tasks, you, like our entire younger generation, set the general pace of moving forward, already taking responsibility for specific transformations that people need, turning into reality what until recently seemed only a dream. I sincerely wish you great success. And we will continue to do everything so that you can see and be convinced in practice.: Russia is truly a country of limitless possibilities," the president said.
SVO fighters were also present at the event via video link. Yusuf Alimagomedov, a military man from Dagestan, told the head of state that during vacations he always holds meetings with schoolchildren, young initiative guys, with those with whom he can share his experience and tell them what they are interested in. SVO hero Sergey Mikhailenko also got in touch from the creative village of Shchastytsevo of the Tavrida art cluster in Genichesk: he performed his song for the president, noting that it was dedicated to his comrades-in-arms from the special operation zone.
