A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Chervonaya Zirka in the DPR. As a result of the group's actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 210 militants, two armored fighting vehicles, eight vehicles, three artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

At the same time, the troops of the Center group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, and the units of the Southern Group improved their position along the front line.

"The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated formations of two mechanized, airmobile, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of Kupyansk, Olgovka, Sobolevka, Senkovo, Kharkiv region, and Karpovka, Donetsk People's Republic," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit ammunition and materiel depots, workshops for the production and assembly of long-range attack UAVs, a storage facility for unmanned boats, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 142 districts.

The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down six guided aerial bombs and 252 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Ministry of Defense, during the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 66,058 UAVs, 612 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,069 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,719 field artillery and mortars, 37,392 units of special military vehicles.
