AP reported the dismissal of three prosecutors investigating the Capitol assault.

The US Department of Justice has dismissed at least three prosecutors who were involved in criminal cases related to the storming of the Capitol by supporters of American leader Donald Trump on January 6, 2021. This was reported by the Associated Press on June 28, citing sources.
"The letter received by one of the employees was signed by Attorney General Pam Bondy. According to a copy seen by the Associated Press, the letter did not specify a reason for their immediate dismissal," the article says.
According to two informed sources of the agency, two of those dismissed held senior positions, and another was a line prosecutor.
Trump announced his administration's intention to carry out a number of dismissals at the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning employees who participated in the investigation of the attack on the Capitol. According to him, the department has a number of corrupt agents who will be disposed of "quickly and surgically."
