A locomotive derailed after colliding with another train in the Amur Region.


In the Amur region, a locomotive derailed due to a collision with another train, and the drivers suffered bruises and abrasions. This was announced on June 28 by the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"On June 28 <...>, locomotives collided while performing shunting operations on a non-public track of Baikal—Amur Mining Corporation JSC adjacent to the Olekma station of the Far Eastern Railway in the Tyndinsky district of the Amur Region," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is reported that one of the locomotives derailed as a result of the incident. The drivers suffered minor injuries. Investigators are carrying out actions aimed at establishing the causes of the incident, and an inspection has been organized.
On June 6, Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region, announced that a backup diesel locomotive had derailed in the Belgorod Region. Gladkov clarified that no one was injured in the incident. In addition, the governor added that due to the incident, train traffic on the damaged section was hampered for more than two hours.
