The Ambassador of Paraguay announced his intention to increase meat exports to Russia

Paraguayan Ambassador Victor Hugo Peña Bareiro said on June 28 that the country intends to increase exports of premium meat to Russia.

"Meat exports are growing, and currently Russia is the sixth largest importer of Paraguayan meat as of June 2025. <...> We expect supplies to grow," the diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Peña Bareiro explained that today Paraguay supplies meat to Russia, which is subsequently used for further processing.

The Ambassador spoke about the quality of premium meat that the Latin American country would like to supply to Russia.

"It is of excellent quality and has even won contests in demanding markets such as London and Paris," Peña Bareiro said.

The diplomat noted that Paraguay plans to hold a presentation of premium meat for importers, hotels and restaurants in our country.

Earlier, on March 18, Paraguay announced its readiness to double the supply of meat to the Russian Federation. According to Russian Ambassador to Latin America Alexander Pisarev, Paraguay is one of the ten largest meat exporters in the world.
