- Roskachestvo talked about possible types of part-time work for schoolchildren and students

In Russia, teenagers can officially work from the age of 14, but a number of restrictions will be imposed on their work. Irina Shulzhenko, HR Manager of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, spoke about the ways of summer part-time work for schoolchildren and students on June 28.
"According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, teenagers can work from the age of 14, but with a number of conditions. This requires the written consent of parents or a legal representative, and we are talking exclusively about light work that does not interfere with studies and is not associated with health risks," she recalled.
At the same time, the greatest restrictions are imposed on the work of 14-year—old employees - they can even conclude an employment contract only with the consent of their parents. At the same time, from the age of 15, if you graduate from an educational institution or work part-time in your free time, you can enter into a contract with your employer directly.
From the age of 16, a citizen has the opportunity to independently conclude contracts. However, in any case, time and activity restrictions are imposed on the work of minors — no more than seven hours a day and 35 hours a week. It is also prohibited to involve such employees in overtime, dangerous or night work.
Often, students begin their career with activities such as working in catering, distributing leaflets, working part-time in a warehouse or seasonal field work. Students can also demonstrate their professional skills during summer internships, as well as be tutors preparing students for the Unified State Exam and OGE.
"Modern trends show that young people are increasingly seeking to find not only physical work, but also employment in the online field. Active teenagers already at the age of 15-17 successfully run social networks, create content, and edit videos. Students with basic skills in graphic design, copywriting, or SMM find part-time jobs on freelance platforms," Shulzhenko said.
Earlier, on June 8, residents of Moscow named popular part-time jobs in the summer season. Short—term rental housing became the leader of the rating - 21% of respondents plan to rent out their apartment, leaving for the country or on a trip. This strategy is especially popular among property owners in the central areas of the city and among those who have a summer cottage or the possibility of temporary residence outside the metropolis.
