In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a nine-month-old child drowned in a bathtub

In the Minusinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a nine-month-old child drowned in a bathtub at home while his mother was washing dishes and listening to music in the kitchen. This was announced on June 27 by the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.

"On the evening of June 27, 2025, a woman bathed two children aged two years and nine months in a bathtub. At some point, the mother went into the kitchen to wash the dishes, leaving the children unattended. At the same time, the woman turned on music in the kitchen," the department said.

After a while, the woman heard the cry of the eldest child and, returning to the bathroom, found her younger daughter lying underwater without signs of life.

On the spot, she tried to resuscitate the child, and also called an ambulance, but the child could not be saved.

"An investigator is working at the scene. Investigative actions are being carried out in the criminal case aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident," the Investigative Committee concluded.

In May 2024, a two-year-old child was admitted to the intensive care unit after drowning in a bathtub. The boy was resuscitated, his condition was assessed as serious.
