The media reported on the discovery of a Russian woman's body with traces of wounds in Osaka, Japan.

The wounded body of a Russian citizen was found in a residential complex in Osaka, Japan. This was announced on Saturday, June 28, by the 47 news portal.

"On June 27, the Osaka Prefectural Police received a report that a resident of an apartment complex in Shimoder had lost consciousness, coughing up blood. The police rushed to the scene and found a Russian citizen, 50-year—old Elena Ito, dead," the article says.

According to the portal, there were traces of blows on the woman's face, and she was bleeding. The apartment on the eighth floor of the residential complex, where she lived alone, showed no signs of forced entry. Ito's ex-husband, also a citizen of the Russian Federation, contacted the police, who could not contact her for several days.

"At the moment, there has been no official information [regarding the murder]. We proactively contacted the police in Osaka, Naniwa district, where this incident occurred. An investigation is currently underway and we are in contact with law enforcement agencies," the Russian Consulate General in Japan told Izvestia.
