The Iranian Foreign Ministry demanded respect for Khamenei to conclude a deal

US President Donald Trump should abandon his disrespectful tone towards Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in order to conclude an agreement on the nuclear program. This was announced on June 28 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"If President Trump sincerely wants to make a deal, he should put aside the disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards Iran's supreme leader <...> Khamenei and stop hurting millions of his sincere followers," Araqchi wrote on the social network X.
He also noted that otherwise Iran will show its "real capabilities", thereby responding to threats and insults from the United States.
"Goodwill begets goodwill, and respect begets respect," Araqchi stressed.
Also in his message, the Iranian Foreign Minister compared the US assistance to Israel with an appeal to the "pope."
"The Israeli regime had no choice but to run to the pope," Araqchi said.
Earlier, on June 27, Araqchi announced the complication of negotiations after the US strikes on nuclear facilities. The minister added that if European countries, like the United States, continue their policy of confrontation with Tehran, this will negatively affect the situation. On the same day, Trump suspended the lifting of sanctions against Iran.
