Gunners of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation in the Kherson region. This was announced on June 28 by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is clarified that the crew of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that initially conducted the reconnaissance revealed the location of the Ukrainian observation post on the right bank of the Dnieper River. From there, the AFU units carried out their own reconnaissance and monitored the Russian military using drones.

"After additional reconnaissance and confirmation of the target, its coordinates were transferred to the artillery command post. The crew of the 152-mm Msta-B cannon immediately moved to a pre—prepared position, promptly prepared the cannon for firing and destroyed the enemy's observation post with a direct hit," the ministry said.

After the strike, objective control data confirmed the destruction of the target in real time. After the liquidation of the observation post, the activity of Ukrainian UAVs in the area stopped.
