"The Ministry of the Navy intercepted a semi-submersible vessel off the coast of the state of Guerrero, which was carrying more than 3.5 tons of cocaine. Three foreign citizens were detained," he said.
The official stressed that the interception of the boat caused financial damage to organized crime in the amount of 800 million pesos ($42.5 million). He also pointed out that since October 2024, during the current administration, 44.8 tons of cocaine have been seized from drug traffickers.
"This prevented more than 7 million doses of this drug from reaching the streets," the minister said.

According to law enforcement officials, such a batch of drugs costs about 200 million rubles on the black market. It was established that the recipient of the cargo was a Colombian citizen. A criminal case has been opened under clauses "a" and "b" of Part 4 of Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Smuggling of narcotic drugs committed by an organized group on an especially large scale").
