- Senior Lieutenant Sokolov helped the Guards to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from fortified positions

Guard Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Sokolov commanded a motorized rifle unit during the assault on fortified strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday, June 28, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).
The enemy was actively resisting, and Sokolov decided to come from the rear. Having assembled a group of three people and analyzed the intelligence data, he led the Russian military around the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Motorized infantry broke in from the rear, and Sokolov personally destroyed two opponents in close combat. As a result, the enemy retreated, and Sokolov's group repelled counterattacks until reinforcements arrived.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism of Guard Senior Sergeant Georgy Nikiforov, who commanded the crew of the T-72B tank during the clash, when the combat vehicle was attacked by FPV drones and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Nikiforov competently led the personnel, quickly and accurately performed calculations for guidance, which made it possible to continue performing tasks during the clash, even despite drone attacks. As a result, it was possible to detect and eliminate the AFU group that was preparing for the attack.
Earlier, on June 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Lieutenant Alexei Kiselyov commanded a platoon and carried out the task of eliminating the Armed Forces of Ukraine using FPV drones.
