The agreement between Russia and Sweden on the exchange of information on nuclear installations was denounced by order of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. The relevant document was published on the official publication portal of legal acts on June 27.

"To denounce the agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of Sweden on prompt notification of a nuclear accident and on the exchange of information on nuclear installations," the text of the document says.

According to the decree, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to notify Sweden of the decision.

The agreement was signed on January 13, 1988 in Stockholm.

On April 18, the Russian Federation also denounced the agreement with the Scandinavian countries on cooperation in the Barents Sea. In addition, the agreement between the Governments of the member States of the Barents Sea Council was denounced./The Euro-Arctic region, which involved cooperation in the field of prevention, preparedness and response to emergency situations.
