A major road accident involving three trucks and a passenger car occurred in the Ust-Labinsk district of the Krasnodar Territory, resulting in the death of four people. This was announced on June 27 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"On the Krasnodar – Kropotkin highway, the driver of a Volvo truck with a semi—trailer was not convinced of the maneuver when rebuilding and made a side collision with a Chery car," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

After the impact, the car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Peugeot Boxer and another Volvo truck. As a result of the accident, the driver and three passengers of the passenger car were killed. Their identities are being established.

"The culprit of the accident, a native of Dagestan, born in 1964, fled the scene, but was detained by traffic police officers," the department added.

Earlier in the day, three people died in a four-car accident in the Baksan district of Kabardino-Balkaria. It was noted that employees of the regional fire and rescue service were engaged in eliminating the consequences of the collision.
