A five-year-old girl drowned in the Pryazhinsky district of Karelia. This was reported in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the republic.

"It was previously established that the minor, along with her minor brother and a friend, were in the immediate vicinity of the river. The victim slipped, fell into the water, and then disappeared from sight," the department's Telegram channel said.

Investigators are working at the scene, an inspection is underway, and priority investigative actions have been appointed to clarify all the circumstances of the tragedy. A criminal case has been opened.

On June 14, two children drowned in the Sylva River in the Kungursky municipal District of Perm Krai. It was clarified that rescuers found the boy, he was handed over to an ambulance team, but it was not possible to resuscitate him.
