The insistence of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, to visit the damaged Iranian nuclear facilities makes no sense and may even have malicious intent. This was announced on June 27 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

The diplomat stressed that Iran reserves the right to take any measures to protect its sovereignty, interests and the people of the country.

"Rafael Grossi's insistence on visiting bombed sites under the pretext of security guarantees is pointless and may even carry malicious intent," he wrote on his Facebook page. Twitter).

Araqchi added that Iran's decision to suspend cooperation with the IAEA is directly related to Grossi's malicious actions. It was because of his position that the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a "politically motivated" resolution against Iran, and also approved the illegal bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities by Israel and the United States.

On the same day, Grossi reported that the radiation level in the Persian Gulf region after 12 days of the Iran-Israel conflict did not exceed the norm, but several Iranian nuclear facilities were seriously damaged.

On the same day, a recorded video message from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was shown at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. He said that the US and Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities were causing irreparable damage to the non-proliferation regime. According to him, the UN Security Council and the IAEA should treat "aggressors and warmongers" more responsibly.
