A transport police officer suspected of setting fire to energy infrastructure facilities has been detained in the Voronezh Region. This was announced on June 27 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Voronezh Region.

It is specified that at first the telephone scammers convinced the man to transfer 800 thousand rubles to them. Further, in exchange for a promise to return the money, he was forced to commit illegal acts.

At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

"The employee will be dismissed on negative grounds and will be punished in accordance with the procedure established by law," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

Earlier, on June 24, three saboteurs were detained in the Zaporizhia region, who planned to undermine the gas distribution network facility. It was clarified that an improvised explosive device and its components were found at the crime scene and in the places of residence of the defendants.
