A five-year-old child who fell out of a boat in Khimki near Moscow was found dead.

A five-year-old child who fell out of a boat on the Moscow Canal in Khimki, Moscow region, was found dead. This was announced on June 27 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"At 18:00, the child's body was removed from the water by the forces of the PSO-1 diving group of the Mosoblpozhspas State University of Defense," the department said.

The body was removed from the water and handed over to specialists for investigative measures, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The tragedy occurred earlier in the day. On the fact of the incident, investigators opened a criminal case in accordance with Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway, air, sea, inland waterway transport and the subway").
