- The psychologist named the rules for building strong relationships through dating services

Dating on mobile apps has become a familiar part of modern life — many couples today begin their story with a mutual like. However, the transition from virtual communication to real relationships often causes difficulties. On June 29, Twinby dating service psychologist Larisa Karavaitseva told Izvestia how to turn a fleeting online acquaintance into a lasting union.
The first rule is to accept the uncertainty of the initial stage. According to the expert, anxiety and doubt are absolutely normal in the first weeks of communication.
"It's like stepping into the fog with a flashlight.": you see something, but you don't understand all the shapes. The jitters, the questions "did you like me?", "why didn't you write in the morning?" are a natural part of the process," Karavaytseva notes.
The psychologist advises not to try to clarify all the issues immediately, but to let the relationship develop naturally.
The second important aspect is monitoring the rhythm of communication. If the correspondence was active at first, and then turned into a formal exchange of messages, this is a reason to think. A pause is not always the end. The main thing is that the break should be a conscious decision of both, and not a sudden disappearance.
The third rule concerns building trust.
"He remembers that you don't eat dill — it's more important than thousands of messages "how did you sleep?" — the psychologist gives an example.
According to her, real trust is born from attention to detail, not from frequent phone calls. When a partner notices details and respects boundaries, there is a sense of reliability — the foundation for a serious relationship.
Karavaytseva emphasizes the importance of safety in online dating: you should not immediately disclose personal information and you need to be attentive to "red flags" — attempts at control, pressure or insults.
When virtual communication develops into real meetings, the psychologist recommends focusing on open communication.
Building a relationship is a process that requires efforts on both sides. But getting to know each other in the app can be the beginning of a strong union if you approach it consciously and follow simple rules of psychological hygiene, the specialist emphasized.
Earlier, on April 23, it was reported that modern Russians are increasingly using psychological compatibility as the main criterion for choosing a partner. Thus, 88% of women and 82% of men check the psychotype of a potential life partner before starting a serious relationship.
