In Nakhodka (Primorsky Krai), the police opened a criminal case on fraud, as a result of which a 48-year-old man was injured. He lost 1.85 million rubles.
According to the man, he received a call from a stranger who introduced himself as an employee of the investment platform. The interviewee offered to earn income by investing in the stock market. First, the victim transferred 350 thousand rubles to transfer funds into foreign currency. Then he took out several loans from banks, NakhodkaMedia news agency writes.
The "income" was displayed in the application, which the victim installed according to the instructions of the scammers. However, the man could not withdraw his funds. In this regard, a resident of Nakhodka contacted the police.
In Krasnoyarsk, law enforcement officers detained a 20-year-old boy who is suspected of fraud. The young man took cash from the pensioners, with whom the scammers had previously communicated by phone.
