The dog handler named plants dangerous for dogs

Vladimir Golubev, President of the Russian Cynological Federation, said that dogs often try to eat grass on the street — this is not always dangerous, but it can be a signal.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, June 27, the specialist noted that most often the pet makes up for the lack of fiber in this way or tries to induce vomiting in case of poisoning. In such cases, it is worth adding vegetables and herbs to the diet, and in case of repeated vomiting, consult a veterinarian.
However, not all grass is safe. In the city, greenery can contain chemicals and heavy metals, and in dachas and fields there are poisonous plants like wormwood, St. John's wort or green onions. The spikelets of ustyug and grasshopper are especially dangerous: in dry form, they can get under the skin or into the ears, causing inflammation.
In addition, with grass, a dog can swallow parasites. Therefore, it is safer to wean a pet from trying plants outside and offering greens only at home — clean and in a bowl, writes Moscow 24.
In May, Golubev told us which plants pose a danger to dogs. In particular, bulbous flowers are dangerous for dogs: tulips, hyacinths, daffodils. Ingestion of an onion is fraught with poisoning. Irises are also dangerous, especially their rhizome, lilies of the valley are a completely poisonous plant. Even the water in which the plants stood is dangerous.
