Two men and two women have been detained in the UK after pro-Palestinian activists infiltrated the Royal Air Force base in Brize Norton. This was announced on June 27 in a statement by the Thames Valley Counter-Terrorism Police.

"Employees of the anti-terrorist police of the South-east have detained four people in connection with the investigation of an incident that resulted in damage to aircraft equipment in Oxfordshire," the agency's website says.

The detainees are 36 and 24—year-old men living in London, as well as a 29-year-old woman with no fixed place of residence. They are suspected of inciting terrorism. Together with them, a 41-year-old woman, who also has no place of residence, was detained on suspicion of complicity.

The country's Defense Minister, John Healey, announced increased security measures at British military bases. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

On June 20, Reuters reported that British pro-Palestinian activists from the Palestine Action group infiltrated a Royal Air Force base in Central England and damaged two military aircraft. It was noted that they doused the Voyager aircraft with red paint, and also drove up on electric scooters to the turbine of the aircraft and affected it with a burner.
