The GAC GS8 Dragon crossover will go on sale in Russia in early July, with a minimum price of 4.6 million rubles. This is stated in the message of the Russian representative office of the brand, which was received by Izvestia on June 27.

The GAC GS8 Dragon will be offered with both a standard 231-horsepower two-liter turbo engine and a new 427-horsepower hybrid powerplant that includes a two-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor.

Externally, the Dragon version features an enlarged radiator grille with cells in the style of "dragon scales", a redesigned front bumper and hub caps with the brand's logo, which remain in a horizontal position when moving. The crossover also received a light animation of LED optics and a graphic projection on the sides, which highlights the space near the front doors.

The body color palette will include five shades (black, white, gray, silver and green), the interior will be available in three versions — white, brown and black.

On June 23, it was reported that three models of the Chinese brand GAC will begin to be assembled in Russia at the plant in St. Petersburg, where Hyundai and Kia cars were previously produced, and now they produce cars of the domestic brand Solaris. Later, the AGR automobile plant denied this statement and said that the company had no such intentions.
