Kaluga announced the restart of the former Volkswagen plant in the coming days

The former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga, which is now part of the AGR Automotive Group holding, will begin production of cars under the Russian brand Tenet in the coming days. This was stated by Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.

"In the near future, we will present you a new Tenet car model, which will roll off the assembly line in the coming days at our factory," Shapsha was quoted as saying by TASS on June 27.

In May, the Tenet Rus press service announced that the first production crossover of the Tenet brand would be presented to the general public in June 2025.

As previously reported by Izvestia, serial production of Tenet cars will be established at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga (AGR Holding), this brand was created specifically for the Russian market. The brand's model range will include four crossovers: one B- and C-class model each, as well as two D-class SUVs.
