About 3.3 thousand residents of the Krasnodar Territory suffered from tick bites.

Since the beginning of 2025, about 3.3 thousand people in the Krasnodar Territory have turned to doctors with tick bites. This is reported by KrasnodarMedia news agency with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Compared to the same period in 2024, pest activity decreased by 15.6%. 11.6 thousand ticks were examined in laboratories. It was found that 13.2% of the pests carried borreliosis.

About 1.5 thousand children under the age of 14 suffered from tick bites.

Residents of the region are reminded that when going out into nature, they should choose closed clothes and choose repellents. It is also necessary to inspect pets after a walk.

By mid-June, the Sverdlovsk Region, Kemerovo, Kirov, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory became the leaders among the regions of Russia in terms of the number of tick bites.
