The mother of a girl who died in Adygea from beatings received 13 years in a penal colony

A resident of Adygea, who beat her three-year-old daughter to death, was sentenced to 13 years. This was announced on June 27 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Teuchezhsky district court.

The girl's mother, Zaira Abrech, was found guilty under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim"), paragraphs "d", "e", part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code ("Torture of a person in a helpless state, with special cruelty by a group of persons"), Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor"), Part 1 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving payments"). She was sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony.

Ruslan Sovmen, the father of the child, was found guilty under paragraphs "d", "d", and "e" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Torture of a person in a helpless state with special cruelty by a group of persons"), Article 156 of the Criminal Code ("Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor"). The man will stay in a general regime colony for three years and four months.

According to the investigation, the girl's mother abandoned her immediately after birth, but in March 2024, Abrech and Sovmen decided to take her away from an orphanage in Adygeysk.
