- Finland has pointed out difficulties with the EU's common position since the formation of the bloc.

It has been difficult for the European Union (EU) countries to form a common opinion and work out a single solution since the formation of the bloc. This was announced on June 27 by Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo at the end of the EU summit in Brussels.
He noted that within the community there are "very far from each other" opinions of different states regarding the crisis in the Middle East.
"There are countries that fully support Israel's actions, everything Israel does. And there are countries that think the exact opposite. From the very beginning, it has been difficult for the EU to form a common, stronger position. And it disappoints many people," Orpo said. His comment is published on the website of the European Commission.
Before the start of the summit on June 26, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that there are double standards in European politics, which can be seen in the example of Israel's current actions, as well as decisions on sanctions against Russia.
On the same day, it became known that the summit participants had not decided to impose sanctions against Israel, but called for an urgent truce in the Gaza Strip.
