Moscow schoolchildren won the Robotics Olympiad

The winners of the Russian Robotics Olympiad were schoolchildren from Moscow, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. More than 800 people between the ages of 6 and 22 took part in the competition.
"As a result, our teams showed the highest results — 51 schoolchildren received awards. Congratulations guys!" wrote Sobyanin on his Telegram channel.
Sobyanin stressed that Moscow schoolchildren regularly take first places in robotics competitions. So, in 2025, in the final of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren, the capital's national team received 47 diplomas of winners and prize-winners.
Engineering and IT classes help to develop talents in the field of robotics, the mayor of Moscow believes. "Students have equipment and IT testing grounds at their disposal to design robots, program, work with electronics, and study the basics of artificial intelligence," Sobyanin recalled.
The Russian Robotics Olympiad has been held for more than 20 years and is considered one of the most prestigious. The final was held in Murmansk, and the tasks were devoted to the Northern Sea Route. The participants of the Olympiad created robot transporters for industrial fishing, port work and rescue operations in the northern seas.
