The lawyer indicated his intention to recover 44 million rubles from the surgeon Lonskaya.

The defense of Inna Boroda, the wife of the head of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia (FEOR), who almost lost her eyesight after an unsuccessful blepharoplasty, intends to recover 44 million rubles from the surgeon Ekaterina Lonskaya. Lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky told Izvestia about this on June 27.

"The claim consists of an evidence base. These are bills that were written out to [Beard] in an Italian hospital, plus bills for hotels, flights, and so on," the human rights activist clarified.

Dobrovinsky added that he was satisfied with the verdict of guilty.

"This means that the surgeon's guilt has been proven, and this is actually correct, because a person who has lost his eyesight and gone blind has the right to justice," he stressed.

Earlier that day, the court found Lonskaya guilty in the case of unsuccessful blepharoplasty and sentenced her to 11 months in prison. At the same time, the defendant in court pleaded not guilty to the incident.

Lonskaya underwent blepharoplasty of her Beard in the fall of 2023 at the Klazko clinic. The surgical intervention was unsuccessful, the woman almost lost her eyesight and underwent several more operations to correct the results of blepharoplasty.

The surgeon is accused of providing services that do not meet safety requirements (Part 2 of Article 238) and causing serious harm to health by negligence (part 2 of Article 118).
