Lukashenko noted the annual growth of the EAEU GDP by more than 4%


The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) grew by 4.5% over the year. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk on June 27.
"Over the past year, the GDP of our association has grown by almost 4.5%, exceeding $2.5 trillion," he said.
The Belarusian leader also stressed that the EAEU industry grew by 4.5%, while investments in fixed assets increased by 7.5%. This is a worthy result, Lukashenko said.
The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the EAEU had been established as a successful integration association. According to him, the trade turnover of the association with third countries amounted to $800 billion, and the total volume of mutual trade within the association increased to $97 billion.
