A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that at night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons, including the aerobatic hypersonic Kinzhal missile system, as well as drones on the infrastructure of the military airfield. In addition, the Russian army liberated the settlement of Novaya Kruglyakovka in the Kharkiv region.

"During the week, air defense systems shot down 32 JDAM guided aerial bombs and two US—made HIMARS multiple launch rocket launchers, a long-range guided missile Neptune and 1,221 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the Defense Ministry said.

In addition, during the week, the Russian Armed Forces carried out six group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, fuel, energy and port infrastructure facilities were hit.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 65,806 unmanned aerial vehicles, 612 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,059 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,656 field artillery guns and mortars, 37,365 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
