- The lawyer pointed out the illogic in the interrogation of the judge in the case of the owner of the Torpedo

There are illogical things in the interrogation of referee Maxim Perezva in the case of the owner of the Torpedo football club Leonid Sobolev and director Valery Skorodumov. Lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky shared this opinion with Izvestia on June 27.
"There are some things in the interrogation of Judge Maxim Perezva that are illogical for me personally. Like, for example, his testimony that the second defendant, Skorodumov, allegedly offered him money three times for judging in favor of Torpedo, to which Perezva did not agree and did not refuse," the human rights activist clarified.
According to these statements, a few days before the Torpedo—Ural match, Skorodumov allegedly offered the referee 3 million rubles for the victory and half a million rubles for each penalty awarded to the opponent.
"<...> And here comes the most interesting thing: on April 21, the above-mentioned match ended with a score of 1:1. What does the judge do? Perezva mistakenly, or unmistakably, does not award a penalty against Ural," Dobrovinsky said.
He added that as a result, the Moscow team lost three points and received only one point. After that, Skorodumov sent a complaint to the Expert Judicial Commission of the Russian Federation, informing about the judge's error. The commission confirmed that Perezva made a mistake by not awarding a penalty in favor of Torpedo, Dobrovinsky said.
"The most amazing thing is that even after that, according to Perezva, Skorodumov turns to him with an attempt to bribe, although he already offers a lower amount than for the last match. To which the judge again does not respond with either refusal or consent. At the same time, Perezva informs in his testimony that my client Leonid Sobolev never offered or met with him about this," the lawyer continued.
Law enforcement officers detained Sobolev on June 20. On the same day, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened against him, as well as the director of Torpedo Skorodumov, who, according to preliminary data, tried to bribe the judge.
It was noted that the defendants allegedly offered the chief referee over 1 million rubles for winning the match, awarding penalties to opponents or removing their player.
On June 24, Dobrovinsky announced that Sobolev's defense had appealed his arrest.
