In the Trans-Baikal Territory, aviation extinguishes fires due to forest fires

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, rescue aircraft continue to eliminate fires against the background of forest fires in the region. Shots of the situation on June 27 are published by Izvestia.
As Vladislav Kharchenko, a correspondent for Izvestia, clarified, rescuers cannot reach the rocky terrain, so they are forced to use special equipment that can extinguish open fires from the air.
"Aviation works around the clock. This Mi-8 helicopter lifts a ton of water and goes to hard—to-reach places," he shared.
The footage also shows that the wooded area of the region continues to smoke.
The day before, in the Trans-Baikal Territory, residents were evacuated from farming co-ops due to wildfires in the region. To extinguish the fire, rescuers also used equipment in the form of bulldozers for plowing the territory, fire trucks and special hoses.
