Sobyanin announced the opening of Russia's first biocluster at VDNKH

The country's first and only biocluster has opened at VDNKh in Moscow. This was announced on June 27 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"This is a big project of the Timiryazev Biological Museum. Thanks to him, science is becoming closer and more accessible," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

The project involved the opening of several pavilions. According to Sobyanin, the first venue was Pavilion No. 29 "Floriculture and Landscaping", where the exhibition "Morphogenesis. The third nature."

In addition, four more thematic sites dedicated to all sections of biology will be open until the summer of 2026. Among them are Pavilion No. 312, which will become the center of the biocluster, pavilion No. 17, where the "Dinosaur World" exhibition will be on display, as well as pavilion No. 28 "Beekeeping".

It is specified that on this site visitors will be able to learn more about the life of insects. According to the press service, the biocluster will also include Pavilion No. 31 "Geology", which was opened in 2022.

On January 22, Sobyanin announced that Moscow had adopted a strategy for the development of VDNH until 2030. In particular, it is planned to implement the best ideas of landscape architecture on the territory of VDNH.
