An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded off the coast of the Kingdom of Tonga — Tongatapu in the Pacific Ocean, the Australian State Geological Bureau reported on its website on Friday, June 27.
It is specified that the tremors were recorded at a depth of 600 km. The epicenter of the natural disaster was located in the ocean, 340 km from the capital of the state of Nuku'alofa with a population of more than 24 thousand people.
