A previously convicted man was detained in Khakassia on suspicion of murder.

A previously convicted man was arrested, preliminarily, on suspicion of murdering and robbing a female doctor at a hospital in the Republic of Khakassia. This was announced on June 27 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"The Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Khakassia, in cooperation with employees from the Primorsky Territory and the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Abakan, detained a previously convicted man. He is suspected of murdering his friend, the chief medical officer," Volk said on her Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, the woman's body was found on May 30 in the bathroom of her own apartment.

Volk noted that the suspect had left the region, but was detained in Primorsky Krai.

A criminal case was opened on this fact under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
