Manchester City defeated Juventus 5-2 at the World Cup of Football


English football club (FC) Manchester City defeated FC Juventus Turin on June 26 with a big score — 5:2 — in the third round of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Goals for Manchester City were scored by Jeremy Doku, Erlin Holann, Phil Foden and Savinho, as well as an own goal by Pierre Kalulu. Ten Kopmainers and Dusan Vlahovic scored goals for the Italian team.
"The game was played at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando," Sport-Express noted.
Both teams reached the 1/8 finals of the World Cup. The British won all three matches, scored nine points and became the first in the group. Turin finished second in the group with six points.
Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola commented on his team's victory.
"I think the players have felt again what it means to be a good team. For the first time, we played as well as we can. <...> I'm really happy because the players understand what we need to do to get back to what we were in the last decade," the sports publication quotes the coach.
Earlier, on June 23, Juventus beat Moroccan Vidad at the FIFA Club World Cup with a score of 4:1. As part of the Italian club, midfielder Kenan Yildiz (16th minute and 69th) and forward Dusan Vlahovic (90th + 4th) scored.
