Engineers of the North group of forces began mine clearance in the Kursk region

Military personnel of the 91st engineer and sapper regiment of the North group of forces use Uran-6 robotic mine clearance systems in the process of clearing the liberated territories of the Kursk region of explosive objects belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 27 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that as a result of mine clearance, a position was discovered where anti-personnel, anti-tank and thermobaric grenade launchers, as well as grenades, were found.
"During mine clearance and inspection <...>, a position was found where <...> grenade launchers were found. These are anti-personnel grenade launchers, anti-tank and thermobaric [shells]. <...> Foreign—made grenades were also found," said the commander of the crew with the call sign Barmaley.
The soldier noted that the found shells were ready for use. It is emphasized that most of the weapons were not produced on the territory of Ukraine.
The department explained how the mine clearance process is going on.
"The sapper squad allocates a site, then we arrive, lower the cars and drive through," said the operator with the call sign Sohap.
He noted that the mine clearance system helps military personnel to find shells with less risk to their lives.
Earlier, on June 16, in the Kursk region, military personnel of the engineering units of the North group found an explosive device inside a child's scooter in one of the settlements.
