Most scorpion bites do not cause serious harm to human health. About this on June 26, "Gazeta.Ru," said Maxim Dolmatov, a specialist in the home care of scorpions.

"Injections of not all scorpions are fatal. It depends on the type of scorpio itself, as well as on the age and state of human health. Of the 2,880 species, only the smallest part can actually lead to death," Dolmatov said.

The scorpion breeder noted that children and the elderly die most often from scorpion bites, while in other cases an allergic reaction and painful sensations may occur. In this case, the expert advises using antihistamines and painkillers or seeking medical help.

Dolmatov also told how to protect yourself from meeting a scorpio.

"In Russia, scorpions can be found in Crimea, the Caucasus, the Volgograd and Astrakhan regions, as well as probably in other places closer to the border with Kazakhstan. They can be found under rocks, in burrows, as well as just strolling individuals. <...> When camping in the wild, it is always necessary to inspect shoes," the specialist explained.

Earlier, on May 6, zoologist Andrey Podluzhnov spoke about the rules of behavior when meeting a shark. In such a situation, you need to behave as calmly as possible and not make unnecessary movements.
