Reuters reported on the extension of EU sanctions against Russia for six months


At the European Union (EU) summit, the leaders of the countries agreed to extend anti-Russian sanctions for another six months. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 26, citing sources.
"EU leaders agreed on Thursday to extend the sanctions imposed against Russia over Moscow's armed conflict in Ukraine for another six months," the statement said.
Earlier, on January 27, the head of EU diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, officially confirmed the extension of anti-Russian sanctions by the union for six months. She added that the European Commission demanded guarantees from Ukraine to "preserve oil supplies to the EU."
