Guard Lieutenant Alexey Kiselyov commanded a platoon and carried out the task of eliminating manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using FPV drones. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday, June 27, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Kiselyov correctly identified the locations of personnel and launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During the clash, the guard lieutenant controlled a reconnaissance drone and determined the coordinates of the targets. The coordinates were then transmitted to the calculation for launching FPV drones.

After hitting the targets, Kiselyov commanded a change of positions in order to protect the personnel from retaliatory artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which they opened at the place of take-off of the FPV drones. As a result, up to five enemy targets were hit, while Kiselyov's platoon had no casualties.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the vigilance, competent and decisive actions of the guard of Corporal Nikolai Shulgin, who provided fire support to Russian assault groups as part of the D-30 122-mm howitzer crew.

Shulgin noticed in time eight FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approaching the howitzer. He immediately warned his comrades about the danger and opened fire on the drones with standard weapons. Soon the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, and Shulgin personally shot down four of them.

Earlier, on June 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported how Guard Corporal Rustam Fattakhov, as part of an assault group of the Russian Army, participated in the capture of an AFU stronghold when the group came under machine-gun fire from the enemy.
