The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the injury of two teenagers from an explosion in Kaliningrad.

Investigators organized a pre-investigation check after the incident involving the injury of two teenagers from an explosion in Kaliningrad. This was announced on June 26 by the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region in the Telegram channel.

"According to preliminary data, several teenagers tried to set fire to an unidentified object in the industrial zone. As a result of the ignition, two teenagers aged 14 and 16 received burns," the ministry said.

It is specified that the victims are receiving assistance in a medical facility. Information about their health status is still being clarified.

The progress of the initiated inspection is under the personal control of the acting Regional Department of the Investigative Committee.

"Investigators and forensic investigators of the regional department of the Investigative Committee have begun to inspect the scene, all the circumstances of the incident are being carefully clarified," the statement said.

On June 21, in the city of Krasny Luch, Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), one child was killed and another was seriously injured as a result of a fire extinguisher explosion. The victim's condition is assessed as serious.
