Officials from St. Petersburg were detained on suspicion of corruption.

Yulia Logvinenko, head of the Kolpino District Administration, and Dmitry Kohno, head of the Kolpino Municipal Administration, were detained on suspicion of corruption in St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 26 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"The investigation found that in the period from December 2024 to June of this year, Logvinenko and Kohno, through an intermediary, received a bribe in the amount of at least 9.2 million rubles from the CEO of a company carrying out landscaping work in the city of Kolpino," the agency said in its Telegram channel.

An investigation is currently underway to identify other episodes of criminal activity.

A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe by an official committed on an especially large scale").

Earlier, on June 17, the deputy head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Republic of Udmurtia was detained on suspicion of receiving a particularly large bribe. Investigators conducted a search at the suspect's place of service, seized documentation of interest to the investigation.
