After reaching a truce in the Iran-Israel conflict, US President Donald Trump aimed to end the fighting in the Gaza Strip and free the Hamas hostages. This was announced on June 26 by the Axios portal, citing sources.

"Trump wants a cease—fire and a hostage deal in Gaza as soon as possible," the article says.

It is also indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to meet with Trump at the White House in the coming weeks to celebrate the joint US-Israeli bombing of Iran's nuclear program.

"Such a meeting would provide an opportunity for both leaders to consolidate their positions on the success of the operation in Iran and discuss joint next steps in the region," the article added.

On the same day, Netanyahu said that the results of the operation against Iran pave the way for a dramatic expansion of Israel's peace agreements with neighboring countries. According to him, this work is being carried out along with the release of Israeli hostages and the defeat of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
