All sides have won the Middle East conflict: the United States, Israel, and Iran. This was stated by Associate professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, military expert Alexander Perendzhiev on Thursday, June 26.
"All heads of state have kept their faces in front of their nations, and all consider themselves winners. The war turned out to be very interesting. No one seized anything, the confrontation was carried out exclusively with the help of high—tech means, there was no direct contact, except for saboteurs," Perendzhiev said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
According to the analyst, if we talk about the political results of the conflict, then all sides really won in it, and this is a pretty good result.
"Israel won because it retained power there, and it also caused some damage to Iran. Iran — because the regime has also been preserved, the nuclear program has not been destroyed. The United States — because, according to the Americans, they nevertheless destroyed Iran's nuclear program without any negotiations. So under the current conditions, everyone can really be considered a winner," the political scientist concluded.
Earlier in the day, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared the victory of the Islamic Republic over Israel as a result of their conflict. In his message, he congratulated local citizens on their victory. 360.ru .
On June 24, US President Donald Trump announced the entry into force of an agreement related to a complete cease-fire between Israel and Iran. Later, the latter confirmed the truce.
