Lu Yuguang, a journalist from the Chinese Phoenix television company who was injured in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Kursk region, told reporters on June 26 that an enemy drone had struck him despite the fact that the correspondent was a civilian.

He was wearing camouflage-colored clothes that day, but they are not military uniforms.

"I like to dress like this, it's just how we work at the front now. If we wear civilian clothes, they (the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters. They're shooting at you anyway," Yuguan said.

The footage shows that the correspondent has already received first aid. His head is bandaged. The victim communicates with Russian journalists in Russian.

Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of the Kursk Region, reported earlier on June 26 that a 63-year-old correspondent of a Chinese television company was injured as a result of a drone strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. He added that the journalist went to the border region on his own. The victim has an open craniocerebral injury and a bruised wound in the parietal region.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces drone on Chinese journalists in the region is a deliberate "terrorist attack." The diplomat stressed that the Chinese media representative who was injured in the attack, as expected, was wearing a bulletproof vest with the inscription PRESS.
