Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez proposed to create a logistics hub on the island so that it could become a place from which goods from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) states They will be able to be transported to Latin American countries. He announced this on June 26 at the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk.

"An initiative is being launched to use Cuba as a logistics and investment hub, using the opportunities of the special economic zone, the geographical advantages of our island, so that it becomes a starting point for the expansion of Eurasian products to the Latin American and Caribbean region," said the head of Cuba.

Bermudez added that it could be a logistics center that could receive and distribute goods from the EAEU member states in Latin America and vice versa. At the same time, he promised to promote transit and expand the export potential of the Union countries.
