There is no recession in the Russian economy, and specialists from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation are carrying out planned work to cool the situation. This was announced on June 26 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"We are not in recession, I can assure you. We have a planned cooling of the economy. Because by heating up certain industries, we saw an acceleration in inflation," the head of the department said in the program "The Sanchez Effect" on RT International.

He added that the Ministry of Finance, together with the Central Bank of Russia, took timely measures to prevent an economic downturn.

On June 24, Andrey Gangan, director of the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Russia, also stated that there were no signs of recession in the Russian economy, but there was a noticeable decrease in its growth rate. According to him, the Central Bank forecasts an inflation rate of approximately 4% in 2026 and the continuation of this value in the future.
