About 100 events were prepared at VDNH as part of the Friendship of Peoples Festival

From July 3-6, the Friendship of Peoples Festival of National Hospitality will be held at VDNH. The event will bring together 18 locations, including historical pavilions and the Orion family theme park, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"About 100 events of various formats are planned. These are expert discussions, art exhibitions, sports competitions, culinary workshops and tastings," Sergunina said.

On July 3-4, a business program will be held in the congress hall of the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center with the participation of representatives of the tourism and creative industries. They will discuss issues related to fashion, culture, museums and travel.

From July 4 to 6, adults and children are invited to the "Uzoryfest" in the pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The guests will learn about the traditions of different nations. The pavilion will also host lectures by experts and designer shows.

On July 4, a feature film screening and the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Cherkessk will take place.

On July 5, VDNH will celebrate the national holiday of the Udmurt Republic — Gerber. It will start with a sports race, then those who wish will be invited to visit the fair at the Druzhba Narodov fountain. Handicrafts and regional cuisine will be presented there, as well as workshops on painting pendants, making brooches and headbands.

The next day, the national holiday of the Chuvash Republic, Akatui, will be held. In the "House of Russian Cuisine", visitors will be taught how to cook a hoopla pie, a traditional soup with pork and lamb, and a dessert with buttercream on shortbread dough. Between the cooking classes, there will be a tasting of products from Chuvash manufacturers.

Those who wish, together with artists in national Chuvash outfits, will be able to participate in a costumed procession around the Druzhba Narodov fountain. In addition, musical groups and choreographic ensembles from the Far East, new regions of Russia and Tatarstan, Tuva, Mari El, Udmurtia, Dagestan will perform at the festival.
